Bob Bolus has walked a total of 670km along the Western Cape coastline to help more children born with cleft smile with confidence, through our Operation Smile surgical programme.
In a major push to reduce the backlog of cleft lip and palate surgeries in Gauteng, Operation Smile and Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital (NMCH) – with key support from Life Healthcare – delivered an intensive weekend surgical programme from 16 to 18 May 2025.
On 15 May 2025, Operation Smile was proud to support the National Strategic Meeting on Safe Surgical Care, hosted in Johannesburg by the SA Safe Surgical Care Technical Working Group (TWG).
