Mandela Day (this coming Saturday) reminds us that we can all make a difference.
Whether we give of our time, our skills or our wealth, helping someone in need really is ‘in our hands’.
And right now, a child like Sarah needs our help. Yours and mine.
Sarah was born with a cleft lip and palate. Doctors assured her mom that surgery was possible. But every time she took her child to the hospital, she was turned away and told to come back another time. Specialist surgeons and paediatric anaesthesiologists were not available.
Our team of volunteer medical professionals is travelling to Mbombela on 26 July. Over the weekend, they’ll operate on about 30 children like Sarah … giving them beautiful new smiles and the chance to grow up strong and healthy.
Our volunteers give freely of their time and experitise. But we need help to cover the cost of medical equipment and supplies, and transport of both equipment and people.
This is where your Mandela Day donation – made right here and now – makes all the difference. Whether you’re able to give R67 – one rand for each Mandela minute – R670 or R6 700, your kindness will help give a child like Name a beautiful new smile.
So please, will you join in now? You’ll be there is spirit when our Operation Smile team swings into action … standing beside the doctors as they bring hope and health to children born with cleft conditions,
