During October and November 2022, Robert Bolus walked 500km from Mossel Bay to Pringle Bay to raise funds for Operation Smile. In 2025 he was back with another Bay-2-Bay Challenge.
This time he walked from Pringle Bay to Table Bay (finishing at Woodbridge Island) via the peninsula. The route followed the coastline wherever possible and covered aprox 170 kms.
“We are all destined to create our own legacy,” Bob said. “There are children born every day with a cleft lip and palate.
“I have chosen to change these children’s lives to enable them to live in a happy and dignified way … and to smile. I smile a lot, and people smile back. Smiling people are happy people. Please help me put a smile on a the face of a young child born with a cleft lip and palate.”
Bob’s friends and family responded with generosity and he raised over R180 000 for Operation Smile this year.
Thank you so much, Bob, for choosing to help children born with cleft conditions.
